Man struck elderly father, mother

A violent altercation has landed a Rome man behind bars on a number of charges.

According to jail reports, 34-year-old Wayne Ira Reynolds of a Lombardy Way address allegedly struck his 79-year-old father and his mother, and threatened to strike his brother.

He also allegedly busted out the glass from the storm door and fled the scene.

He was arrested at his residence on charges of cruelty to person over 65-years-old, three counts of terroristic threats and acts, two counts of battery, and criminal trespass.

He remains in the Floyd County Jail at this time without bond.
