Two men arrested in Arson case

The Rome Fire Department held a press conference Thursday afternoon to announce the arrest of two individuals in an arson case.

The home on Craton Road was destroyed by fire during the early morning hours of February 10.

Edward Stephens Stanley and Donald Eric Luallen were arrested early this morning for charges of arson, accoridng to the Rome Fire Department.

The two men are accused of setting the house on fire to claim the insurance money after Luallen was foreclosed on by Regions Bank.

The property was owned by Regions Bank at the time of the arson.

Details into the case are limited due to the ongoing investigation.

A man is accused of shooting in the direction of a residence and another man is accused of having a stolen firearm.
