Report: Man threatened officer

A 33-year old Rome man was jailed Sunday on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Joshua Keith Williams of a Trillium Trail address threatened a police officer and the officer’s family as he was being arrested on Martha Berry Highway at Veteran’s Memorial.

The threat was caught on the dash cam and jail audio recordings.

Williams is also charged with DUI, open container, and driving with canceled vehicle registration.

 

Woman charged with false statements and writings

A 39-year old Rome woman is facing a felony charge of false statements and writings following her arrest Friday.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Sandra Patricia Agustin Balcarcel of a Mathis Drive address completed an application for an ID card at the Georgia Department of Drivers Services officer on Martha Berry Highway using someone else's name.

The incident occurred on August 10, 2011, according to the warrant.

 

Woman charged with meth possession

A traffic stop ended with the arrest of a Rome woman on possession of methamphetamine charges Friday evening.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 35-year old Jessica Desirae Vaughan of a Lavender Drive address ran the red light at Darlington Drive and Cave Spring Road.

She was then found in possession of a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine, according to the report.
