Records from the Summerville Police Department say that on Monday, a fully-loaded .22 revolver was found in an elevator in the Saratoga Court apartment complex.

Summerville man Steven Dupree called 9-1-1 around 5 PM when he found the holstered pistol laying in an empty shopping buggy in the vacant elevator.

When the responding officer inspected the RG Model 66 T revolver, he discovered that its six rounds were all loaded. The officer relayed the serial number through dispatch, which responded that it had neither been reported stolen nor registered.

Its serial number is KC278435. The holster is dark brown with a basket weave style and two initials on the back.

The firearm will be held at the SPD office and will be released when its owner arrives to claim it.
