Drug bust in Adairsville

A Calhoun man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Highway 140 in Adairsville Tuesday afternoon.

According to a news release, an Adairsville Police Officer stopped the vehicle after seeing it weaving all over the roadway.

The driver, 34-year old Stanley Lee Taylor appeared to be very nervous.

A consent search of the vehicle turned up approximately 127 Alprazolam pills inside of a glass container which was stuffed between the seats.

Taylor was booked into the Bartow County Jail charged with failure to maintain a lane, failure to exercise due care (using his cell phone), possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
