Teen charged with seven counts of entering an auto

A second suspect has been arrested in connection with automobile break-ins on Darlington Way, East 10th Street, and Eastridge Court.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 19-year old Jeffrey Austin Furmage of Wilkerson Road is charged with seven counts of entering an automobile.

He is also charged with possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, criminal trespass, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Money, wallets, a smartwatch, a knife and two firearms were taken.

19-year old Tajai Quevonte Neal of Cedar Avenue was arrested last week in connection with the thefts that occurred on May 8, according to reports.


Report: Woman threatened to slap, kick officer

A 63-year old Rome woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly threatening to slap a Rome Police Officer.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Pamela Teresa Campbell of Kines Road refused to leave a man’s residence on Mark Street.

Campbell also allegedly threatened to kick the officer in the mouth as he was trying to get her out of the patrol vehicle, which she refused to get out of.

When it appeared as though Campbell was going to follow through with the threat, the officer grabbed her by the ankle and shoulder and escorted her into the jail.

Campbell is charged with terroristic threats and acts, criminal trespass, public drunk, and simple assault.


Man charged with meth possession

An Adairsville man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday, charged with possession of methamphetamine.

According to Floyd County Jail records, 33-year old Daniel Lamar Greene of Hensley Road was found with suspected meth in his right, front watch pocket.

Greene was arrested at a location on Knowles Court, according to the report.


Burglary suspect facing additional charge

A man arrested last Friday for burglarizing the main house and an exterior building on Morrison Campground Road is facing an additional charge of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Preston Wayne Dougherty of a Kingston Highway caused over $500 in property damage during the incident.

Dougherty remains jailed.
