Report: Man stomped woman's car

A 25-year old Rome man arrested earlier this week on a charge of 1st-degree criminal damage to property is now facing an additional charge of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.

According to the arrest warrant, Eric Ryan Millsap of a Cotton Avenue address stomped on a woman’s Nissan Altima multiple times, causing severe damage exceeding $500.

The incident occurred last Friday at a location on King Street, according to the warrant.
  

 

Inmate charged with possession of drugs with the intent to distribute

A man is reportedly found with marijuana during a strip search at the Floyd County Prison.

According to the arrest warrant, 29-year old Thomas Justin Duren of Temple, Georgia entered the prison with over 73 grams of marijuana hidden on his person back on January 3.

Duren is charged with possession of drugs with the intent to distribute.

He was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Monday.
 

 

Man charged with felony obstruction

A 32-year old Rome man is facing a felony charge following a scuffle with police that left an officer with a slight laceration on his right hand.

According to Floyd County Jail records, Sheldrick Demond Williams of Lyons Drive is charged with felony obstruction of law enforcement officers.

The arrest warrant states that Williams also resisted being handcuffed and force was used to secure him in the patrol vehicle for transport.

The incident reportedly occurred May 10 on Woodbine Avenue.
