David Nail celebrated his career second Number One hit, "Whatever She's Got," with a party in Nashville yesterday (Tuesday, February 25th). The song is the first single from his soon-to-be-released album, I'm A Fire, and while you'd think having a Number One hit right off the bat would ease the pressure of how the project will be received, David tells us that's not the case. ["You know, I mean I think that ironically it adds more. I think that deep down it obviously makes you want more, want another one. I know when 'Let It Rain' went Number One it was really difficult for me to even enjoy it because I'd automatically kind of begun to feel a pressure of releasing something that I felt like was on par with that or could be on par with that and this has been such a big song from the standpoint of bringing so many new fans to the table that you definitely feel like that the next one's gonna be as important."]
David was surprised by label president Mike Dungan with a plaque for platinum sales of "Whatever She's Got."
