According to the Reindeer Research Program at the University of Alaska, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer is a "she," not a "he!" In fact, all of Santa'a reindeer are female reindeer! Berg says, "Male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer, but the males shed theirs in winter, usually around mid-November. By Christmas, only female reindeer have antlers. Therefore, Rudolph has to be a female as well as the rest of Santa's reindeer!" What then would we call the reindeer? Ruthie, Dharma, Dancy, Prancine, Vicki, Connie, Kaitlyn, Donna and Bertha!
