This morning Moby decided to think pink because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A new survey by Avon reveals that 33% of women are ‘too scared’ to check their breasts for cancer.
One in 2,000 women will develop breast cancer by the age of 29, while one in 22 will have had it before the age of 60.
57% of women forget to check their breasts for lumps on a regular basis.
The following are the five most common signs of breast cancer, and if you notice any of these changes you should visit your doctor:
1. A lump
2. A change to skin texture
3. A rash or crusting
4. A change in appearance of nipple
5. Nipple discharge
